Having Less to Do

Looking at his list he realized there wasn’t much to do. Simple things, which written down seemed almost too easy …

…things like, say, eating? Well, those weren’t written down. He’d come to the conclusion eating was done when one was hungry.

When he cooked, he picked something at random to cook, and set about making it.

Because there were so few things to actually get done, the immensity of life became apparent.

“There’s really nothing to do,” he thought. “I never knew that. I’m surprised. I’d been anxious to do so many things. Now it seems there’s really nothing to do.”

In finding nothing to do, so began the rest of his life.
